Chef Craig’s Catering was created in 1994 by Craig and Linnea Bullert.  Both born and raised in the Arlington, MN area, they felt a strong desire to establish their business in their hometown community.  Craig grew up on a farm, and developed his love for cooking at a young age from both his parents – his father was a cook in the US Army, and his mother (being a farmer’s wife) cooked every meal from scratch on their self-sustainable farm for her family of 8.  Craig loved being in the kitchen with his mother when he wasn’t in the farmyard with his father.
 
After completing the Culinary Arts program at Hennepin Technical College, Craig worked for various restaurants and supper clubs.  Always dreaming of owning his own business, he bought a local café and catering business, where he could integrate some of those same home-spun recipes he grew up with.   
 
Today, that business has evolved into one of southern Minnesota's most respected and appreciated catering companies, serving gatherings of 25-3,000 guests – elaborate or simple weddings, corporate picnics and retreats, galas, anniversaries, fundraisers, charity events. 

 

Over the years, much of the staff has consisted of family members – brothers, sisters, in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews – and all four of Craig and Linnea’s children are now old enough to be actively involved in the business too.  Those staff members who are not related are quickly made to feel part of the family, which is exactly how Chef Craig likes his clients to feel as well.
